In class, students turned in their reading reflections. They were then given the rest of the period to read in their literature circles. I met with the kids reading Artemis Fowl and Ender's Game to discuss their reading so far.

In class, students wrote a brief warm up about their Winter Break. Then, I gave students some notes about Science Fiction and Fantasy and we viewed 3 movie trailers to discuss the differences between the two genres.
