Due: Pre-Writing for Charlie Essay

In class, students completed a short lesson about apostrophe usage. Then, we discussed what an introduction paragraph and thesis statement are. Finally, students were given te remainder of class time to work on their introduction paragraph.

In class students received their first Writing Test score and reviewed the scoring rubric for the test. Then, students practiced pre-writing and began working on the pre-writing for their Charlie & the Chocolate Factory Essay.

In class students took their vocabulary quiz and then read books.

In class students reviewed our discussion yesterday about essay organization. Then, students did an activity called "Visiting Canada" where they put together the pieces of an argumentative essay about Canada. Finally, we played a review game for our vocabulary quiz tomorrow.
