In class, students took their first vocab. quiz of the quarter and then had time to read in their independent reading books!

Due: All writing warm ups FINISHED!

In class, students finished reading the second section of their literature books and completed their handouts.

HW: Study for vocabulary quiz #1 tomorrow! Bring an independent reading book to class for a homework grade!

Wednesday, January 27

Due: Vocab. List 1 Flashcards

In class, students completed their 7th and last writing warm up. Then, they had the remainder of class time to read in their literature circles.

HW: Have all Writing Warm Ups completed for tomorrow (TOC #s 2, 7, 8, 9, 10, 12, 13)

Monday, January 25

Due: Report Card Envelopes SIGNED

In class, students received their 1st vocab. list for this quarter and had the rest of class time to read in their literature circles.

HW: SSR Goals sheets due tomorrow signed. Vocab. Flashcards due Wednesday.

Thursday, January 21

Due: None.

In class, students completed Writing Warm Up #5 (the 3rd body paragraph in the essay). Then, they had the rest of class time to read in their literature circle groups.

HW: Bring an independent reading book AND all 5 completed writing warm ups to class tomorrow (TOC #s 2, 7, 8, 9 , 10)

Wednesday, January 20

Due: None.

In class, students continued reading in their literature circles.

HW: I will be checking all of your writing warm ups (TOC #s 2, 7, 8, and 9) on Friday to make sure you aren't missing anything -- make sure you have them completed!

Wednesday, January 13

Due: SSR Goals Reading Reflections - Project Grade!

In class, students turned in their reading reflections. They were then given the rest of the period to read in their literature circles. I met with the kids reading Artemis Fowl and Ender's Game to discuss their reading so far.
