In class, students took the 2nd 3 Cups of Tea Quiz and completed an EOG Review handout. Then, students had time to read and I introduced their 3 Cups of Tea project!

Monday, May 3

Due: None.

In class, students FINISHED reading 3 Cups of Tea. Then, they wrote a journal to review the major characters in the book. Finally, students had time to review for their quiz tomorrow.

HW: Study for Quiz tomorrow and bring in pennies!

Friday, April 30

Due: EOG Review WS

In class, we looked over the EOG Review sheet and then students worked on another EOG review focusing on poetry.

Thursday, April 29

Due: Journal #8

In class, students read chapters 19 and 20. We discussed the events of 9/11 and Greg's reaction to the violence. Finally, students began an EOG Review handout.

HW: Finish EOG Review Sheet & bring an independent reading book!

Wednesday, April 28

Due: None.

In class, students read chapters 16-18. Then, they completed Journal #8: Imagine you are a refugee in one of the camps in Pakistan. Write a note to a US Government Official asking them for help (use chapter 17 to help you).

HW: Finish Journal and Read!

Tuesday, April 27

Due: A book in class

In class, students read an article entitled "Educate girls, change the world" and completed discussion questions based on the article. Then, they had time to read chapters 15 and 16 in Three Cups of Tea.

HW: Read.

Monday, April 26

Due: None.

In class, students completed an EOG Review activity. Then, they took a pop quiz on Three Cups of Tea. Finally, students read chapter 15 individually.

HW: Bring a book tomorrow & Keep bringing in pennies!
